I know there were a lot of us who had babies within about 2 weeks of each other. How are all of you doing with your babies? Jasmine was 8 weeks old this past Wednesday. She's getting pretty big! At her last visit which was about 2 weeks ago, she weighed 10lbs 4oz (3lbs gained since leaving the hospital). She's not a piglet anymore. Actually I am worried that she should be eating more (she only eats about 3 1/2 oz at a time). She doesnt sleep through the night completely yet. She will start out at about 4 hours, then wake up to eat, then wake up every 3 hours after that. But she's got a good sense of Night being for sleep and day being for awake. Well thats all I can think to put.. what good things can you all say?

Zoe is 3 1/2 weeks now. She weighs 6 pounds 10 oz. She is staying awake more during the day, and she usually does well at night. She wakes up to eat of course, but she goes right back to sleep! She's a really good baby. The second time around is sooo much easier! I don't know how much she eats cause I breastfeed, but I feed her frequently. That's all to report - she doesn't really do anything exciting yet! Oh, and Sophie is doing so well with her! I'm so proud of how she has handled everything!

DAmn Coartney - I'm so jealous of you right now! I have two babies that get up in the night, sometimes at the same time...that's fun, let me tell ya! Good thing I have cute babies!

I think the neatest thing eabout Jasmine is her love of lights. She is my first so I dont know if it's just her or all babies. But if she finds a light ANYWHERE, like on the ceiling or a lamp or the TV she wont take her eyes off it. She will follow it if you move her. I sit her in front of the TV and she has a ball. I have a 27" TV in my living room that I sit her in front of and she stays there playing with herself and laughing at the TV for close to an hour at a time. I think it's so cute. If you pick her up while she's still watching the TV she cries. If you put her back down she stops instantly.

That's cute but remember babies under two years old should have little to no screen time.

we dont let braden watch cartoons, we put his swing in front of the tv but turn it sideways so he can just hear and see a little lights. but we mostly watch discovery, animal planet, csi and news. lol

Ian is two months old today! I can't believe how fast it's going already. He's 11+ lbs and so alert. I love it. He doesn't sleep through the night yet either but usually because he's gassy and wakes up to be held for a few minutes and then back to sleep. The other night he did five hours then woke to eat and then did another five hours. I was in heaven!!!

brooke is 3 weeks old today! she eats really good. but has a lot of gas problems and also has reflux. we just switched formula, so she is now on similac sensetive, so we will see how that works out. she also has a runny nose right now, so i took her to the doctor yesterday and they said it is fine and normal. i have to suck her nose out so that sucks. she weighs 6 lbs 14 ozs now, which is great because she had absolutely no fat on her body when she was born. i am loving being a mom cause she is a great baby.

oh jasminesmommy. babies are suppose to eat 2-2.5 ozs per pound soooo jasmine should eat 20-25 ozs a day. this is a healthy range, but since she is young you are suppose to go by your baby's cues meaning if she wants to eat more than that allow her to as long as she isnt throwing it all up. askdrsears.com has a lot of good information on how much to feed your infant!
