My sister in law had her baby today. After a long labor she only made it to 7 cm so they did a c-section. The baby was 8 lbs 12 oz!! They had to give her a lot of pain meds cause the epi wasn't working for the c-sec so last I heard she still hadn't seen or held the baby and she was hallucinating from the drugs and really freaked out. Poor thing - she was one of those people who had a birth plan and didn't go to classes and it never occurred to her that the labor might not go as planned. But both she and the baby are healthy and they still don't have a name picked out!! ↓

Aww im lad she and the baby are ok...i would be freaked out too if i didnt know better than everything going as planned...Congrats on your Niece!! ↑ |
glad**
i cant type today ↑ |
Thanks! I have been so excited for her (it's her first) and it's helped make my pregnancy go faster by thinking about her. Now I guess my next milestone to make time pass is sophie's first birthday! ↑ |
lol, mara I did that w/ emilee too to make my pregnancy go faster, I had all sorts of things planed and things that were coming up to look forward to ↑ |
This pregnancy was going really fast until I hit about 30 weeks. Then it slowed waaaaay down. Especially since it's so hot here now. I took Sophie to her swim class today and I did not want to get out of that water! ↑ |
im so scared about the name thing, chris and i are still trying to figure out if we should name Tyler, Tyler Michael or Tyler James??? we are so confused, because we like both so much, and i don't want him to be born with out a full name picked out !!
Ya i didn't really pay attention in my classes when they were talking about c -sections, but it occurred to me that umm it might not go as planned and i might end up with one!! .
Thats a Nice Size baby, im glad that they are both doing good, minus the Hallucinations ↑ |
Anika was 8lbs 13oz!!! close!! lol....when i went to the birthing classes they really emphasized c-sections, cause SOOOO many women always think, "oh i won't have one!!" but i think my doc said something like 70% of first time mothers will have c-sections. AND they also stressed the fact that the birth plan is NOT written in stone. so many women say i want this to happen and that to happen and so on, and it goes completely opposite. i had a doula when i was in labor with Anika, and she really kept my mind clear. she helped me see the reality of everything that was going on!!! I think having a Doula was the best thing we did....
well congrats to your SIL and congrats to you for becoming an auntie...or maybe you are one already!! i don't know!! but....YAAAAAYYYY!!!!!! lol ↑ |
congrats!
i made a lot of milestones for each month too, and time is still flying by for me. im 30 weeks now ↑ |
Thanks everyone. I already have 2 nephews, but this is my first niece! They finally picked a name - Lauren Elizabeth. Sophie, Lauren and Zoe will all be very close in age and I can't wait to watch them grow up together! ↑ |
lol sweet, My name is Lauren and my user name is Zoey lol hahah good Job love it!! ↑ |
Why is your username Zoey? I knew your real name was Lauren, but never knew how you picked your username! Funny coincidence though ha! ↑ |
lol zoey was my pet rabbits name when i was little, and i got her about a week before my dad let me have an e-mail address, and i didnt know what to use so i picker her name, and its been that way ever since, ive had it since 5th grade and im too lazy to come up with a new one and change every thing!! and the numbers are just numbers ↑ |
That's so funny:) Now that I have a husband and a baby, and soon another one, I feel like I have an endless list of possible passwords! You know how some programs make you change your password every so many days...I hate coming up with them! And I can never remember them and you're not supposed to write them down....stupid. ↑ |
ya today i had to call my credit car company because i for got my password and after entering the wrong one in so may times the site blocked me and i had to call and re set it! lol such a pain in the but! ↑ |
