I started reading that book at the beginning of our adoption journey -- (I just figured it was the closest I'd come to really experiencing a pregnancy) and I learned a lot. I think it's a great book not only does it have information on what to expect when you're expecting, but it has a section on the father's feelings, a section on the labor and delivery, and when the baby comes home. There are so many copies out there that it's easy to find it used if you go to Amazon.com you'll find it for like ]$10.00. Buy it you'll really like having the reference material at hand.

Sabrina I got the book from my Doc. and it is like my bible I read it religously. It really does help. It is one of the things that I would suggest investing in. Seriously.

hey Sabrina, I have that as well as Up The Duff, by Kaz Cook and Conception, Pregnancy & Birth by Dr. Miriam Stoppard. If I may recommend to anyone thinking buying a book, the Stoppard one is an abolute must, it has been my bible.

It is informative, thorough, has glossy pages with diagrams, photographs and has bullet and sectioned areas like a magazine for quick and easy referencing, which is an absolute must on occassion.

It also has a huge section about baby stuff, not just pregancy - if you see it in the book store, have a look and you will see what I mean.
