You obviously have to have sex to get pregnant.

Yes, I know that, but there's been cases of people getting preg without having intercourse....

If you cant take care of yourself, dont mess around with boys.

I haven't messed around with boys....I don't have a boyfreind, and have a really good GUY freind, but we haven't done anything...all we ever do is talk online and at school....I haven't done anything with anybody, didn't you read my first post?! I'm still a virgin....

I think Anne-Marie is just saying that you should know you need to have sex, or at least have some vaginal contact with sperm, to get pregnant. You haven't had sex, so there's nothing to worry about. The only time a woman could get pregnant without intercourse is if sperm came in contact with her vagina or if you're the Virgin Mother Mary. There are TONS of reasons you're late for your period, like stress, changes in eating habits, just the fact that you're young and you might not be regular yet, etc. Don't worry about it. You're not pregnant.

Of course I read your first post, you clearly have not read all the threads on this site. My advice to you is occupy yourself with something else other than hoping onto websites that are out of your league.

That's the whole point though...I think I know where I've had vaginal contact with sperm though....so I could be, couldn't I??

You could always take a pg test to see if you really are. Where did you have contact with sperm if you are a virgin

You said you haven't messed around with boys...Has the term "messed around" changed since I was in high school? How'd you get near sperm if you haven't messed around?

In my aunts bathtub.....she got out of there with her bf and then me and my cuz took a bath.....we washed it out though, but you never know....this was about two weeks ago though.....however, a couple of websites I went to said that any of these symptoms could show up from three days after up to a month....I wouldn't be bale to take a pg test, cause I haven't told my mom....I'm scared, cause she mightthink I'm not a virgin anymore, or just plain not believe me if I telll her I still am.....

I don't know....what did the term mean when you were in High School?

Maybe you should explain how you came into contact with sperm. Or else how the heck are we suppose to answer your question??? Think about it girly! You can have everyone of those symptoms and NOT be pregnant! And on top of that to say that you're a virgin, why would we say, "Oh yes sounds like you're pregnant!"
Let me break out my crystal ball okay! .....hahahaha

Sperm dies when it's in water or air for too long (a minute or two I believe, but you can look that up). It can't live in a bath tub. You're not pregnant.

....but every site that I went to said that sperm has to be kept wet in order for it to stay alive, and that it can stay alive for up to an hour at a time....at least, that's what I read in health books, and trust me, I read A LOT...it was maybe half an hour after that.....we got done watching a movie and wanted to take a bath....so we did.

I read every single post! Duh! I'm trying to tell you that we're not psychic. I'm sorry, but no one can tell you if you're pregnant or not based on this information. If you are that worried about it go take a pregnancy test.

proof : Usualy it would die very quickly within the first 1/2an hour but there are a few strong swimers that can last an 1 to 2 hrs.

You guys may not be pyschic, but I just wondered if the basic symptoms would be enough to tell.....Thanks to everybody who offered advice....if you want to keep on posting, you can....I'll check back later

I did miss the one about you in the bathtub, I was typing the first thread I guess at the same time.....anyway, No! You're not pregnant because you're aunts boyfriend took a bath before you did. Try telling this to a doctor and see their responce. I'd like to see their face expressions myself.

dont worry no one has EVER gotten preg from sperm in a bathtub.

Sperm needs to be wet in seminal plasma, which has the proper pH, nutrients and ions to keep the sperm alive. Soap and water kills sperm. If conditions were optimal (ie no water or soap) sperm could probably live for an hour, but it certainly couldn't live in bathtub conditions. Even if the sperm was alive by some miracle, it would have had to swim into your vagina for you to get pregnant. Now what are the chances of most likely dead sperm swimming into your vagina when there's a whole bathtub full of water to be swimming in? You're not pregnant.

I'm curious why at the age of 14 that you're taking a bath with your cousin? But never mind I don't want to know. Well the symptoms are that of a pregnancy, but it's also the same symptoms you get before your period or sometimes you can get it afterwards.

She's my girl cuz, she's 9 yrs old, and she wanted to take a bath, and we didn't want to waste precious hot water (they have a limited amount, there hot water heater is partially broke) so we took a bath together. Is that ok?!

Yes, it is. I've never seen this site before. I found it today while I was looking through some pages, trying to find the most common syptoms. Why?
