Sometimes when me and my boyfriend have sex it hurts really bad on the inside. It hurts on my sides, it's a really sharp pain. Does anybody know why it hurts sometimes?

To Ashlie,
I'm not pregnant! Sorry if I didn't clear it up. It hurts in certain positions but right before I get my period it doesn't hurt at all, then 2 weeks after that it hurts really bad. Sometimes it burns, but I think that could just be the condom. congrats on your pregnancy!

I'm 16. No I heard they hurt. I was thinking about going on the pill so I know that I'll get one done when I go. I'm scared to go on the pill because of the weight gain. I don't want my mom to become suspicious. But I know I need to go on the pill because I am sooo not ready for a baby!

Well Jessica maybe you should try the patch you it doesn't make you gain that much weight but every woman is different. I personally tried the pill and it made me sick same with the patch and the depo shot. So really the only thing I could do to prevent becoming pregnant was abstinance and condoms, but I wanted to become pregnant and well now i am 4 months along. So be careful.

A pap doesn't hurt. It might be uncomfortable and embarrassing, but not painful. Are you nervous or tense when you're having sex? That might be the cause of some pain. You said it only hurts in one position, so maybe your body is just twisted funny in that position. Your "cherry" would've been broken when you had sex for the first time, and there isn't always blood, so that's not the cause of your pain. Also, some women have a bad reaction to spermicide condoms, so if that's what you're using, that might be why it burns. You can try condoms without spermicide, just make sure you do use condoms! Generally, you should see a doctor if you always have pain during sex. If it's only one position, just don't do that position.
