My hubby and I took the class and I honestly didnt think it would help much but..whoa I learned a lot...And they are so good at making that dads feel like they play a major role in the birth...I would recommend it to every first time mom...

Take every and any class you can, even if you retain one thing that is one more thing than you knew before. The breastfeeding class is one that I recommend every mom take. Breastfeeding is not as natural as it may seem. The class will really help you in the long run I promise you that! It is wonderful that you are considering breastfeeding. It is a great thing for both you and your precious one. ↑ |
you had to pay? i was offered it free w pregnancy exercise classes ↑ |
all my classes were free, by a program called healthy start!!
and i really wanted to take the breast feeding class, but they canceled mine and the next one was 3 days before my due date, and i actually ended up in labor the day of my class!! lol ↑ |
i took the breastfeeding class! i learned so much! even though it wasnt successful for me and brooke, i learned a lot. and i also took the prepared childbirth class. i only got to the third class before i had brooke and while i personally didnt learn a ton because i read so much while pregnant i loved going and being around other pregnant women! ↑ |
I went and I was in latent labour for the last 3 classes and then had a c section anyway. It was a big waste of time for me. ↑ |
hey randi could you get on aim i have a question to ask you ↑ |
I had to pay ... $80 for the labor class then $20 for breast feeding
I was kinda thinkin it was a rip off.. this kids already costing me money ;) ↑ |
My breastfeedig and newborn classes were only like $5 and $10 so I took them, I didn't learn a whole lot in newborn class, but there was some new stuff I didn't know, breastfeeding class was helpful. And the prepared childbirth class, was helpful too, my husband hated them and thought they were boring, but the moment I knew that it was worth the $65 was when we were in the hospital. When I first got pregnant my husband said he wouldn't even be in the room. When I had to start pushing my husband was by my side holding my hand, giving me encouragement and "helping" me breathe. (I didn't really need help because I couldn't feel a thing) but just that he was there and he was doing what they taught him in class, I was so proud of him. ↑ |
