I'm sure a few of you have seen my wife Rahnee around on these boards. I have a question is it safe for her and I to have sex? She is now reaching her fifth week and I'm a little cautious about having sex for fear that I might bring harm to the baby. She mentioned something about pushing the fetus out of place and that worried me. Is it alright or isn't it? Thanks.

first of all it is perfectly safe for you to have sex during pregnancy as long as she doesnt have bleeding or a history of micarriages. its very important for the two of you to maintain a sexual relationship throughout. as she gets toward the end, it will become more uncomfortable to her but unless her doc thinks she is at risk for premature labor, you can do it to the end. you cannot push the fetus out of place, no matter how big you are. our bodies are made to protect the baby. may i suggest you call your doctors nurse and ask. i bet you a million bucks she says sex is perfectly safe and a mans penis cannot reach the baby, otherwise women would miscarry constantly. also, you can go online and find all kinds of things on sex during pregancy. i am sure it would be reassuring for both of you. i have had 2 children and am 31 weeks pregnant with my third. before this one, i had 2 miscarriages(not due to sex) and a tubal pregnancy in which my right tube was removed, and it was still safe for us to have sex. we have sex at least twice a week and we have never had problems nor has anyone else i have ever known.

yea, its ok to have sex. has she seen the doctor? it all depends on where your baby is laying in there though. if her doctor says its ok, its most definatly ok. i have sex almost everynight (though at 7 months, i dont really feel like it) and my fiance is not little at all so it hurts, but its healthy.
