I feel kinda stupid asking this but after I had my son I was breast feeding then out of no where my milk dried up. I was depressed and angry with myself and my body. I let my now ex-husband talk me into piercing my nipples. Now I am pregnate with my second a lil boy too. I want to give breast feeding another try but I still have the rings in. I am not sure if they will cause problems with the flow of milk and if I take them completly out will they grow back up? My fiancee doesn't want them gone because he likes them and I have told him if they grow up I will not go back thru the pain of repiercing them. I am just not sure what effect they will have on my breast feeding does any one have any ideas or know where I could find out? thanks

well they will not effect you supply, but you can not leave them in while you breast feed. Rather or not the hole closes dependes on how long you have had them pierced. My brother had his done several years ago and had to take them out about a year ago to go into the airforce. His holes are still open. each person is different though. As for your milk supple there are herbal supplements that you can take after the baby is born to help keep you producing.

thank you I have them done since my son was 4 month old he is now 2. I personally don't care if they grow up it is my fiancee who cares about that. The only other thing is when should I take them out??? I mean can I leave them in until my son is born? See this is all things I would ask my dr but she always dismisses me and rushes me out of the office. Do you know which supplements would be best to try? thanks again
