Last night this dog came over to my house.. Dakota was outside trying to do good girls and he came.. Well I told him to go home. So I brought in Dakota and we watched TV in the living room and we hear howling. Here this dog is sitting on my steps to come in. When we let him in he came in and went right for our food dishes.. So I put Kota away. And I kept him inside calling people to try and take this dog. Well the Dog warden said he'd come but the dog would be put to sleep. So I said no.. This is a beautiful Huskey Mix and he's young.. if he's lucky a year old! So I kept him in the twins bedroom for the night.. Bri wants me to keep him but he's very well obviously someone else's dog.. plus with me being pregnant this dog is way to wild for me! How do I explain this to her?

I'm going around today when I come home with flyers and trying to find his home. :( I'm having it announced on the local radio stations. I just need to find his home. I can't keep him here tonight. My poor dog he keeps trying to ride her!.

I think your very kind to what your doing, alot of people would just turn thier heads when they see a lost dog...

I would just explain it to her just as you told us, its someone else's dog and it needs to go home to them.

Thats strange how they would just destroy the dog immediately if they pick him up. I would be furious if my dog got loose and ended up being picked up as a stray and destroyed immediately. Around here they keep the dog for 2 weeks for the owner to come claim and then after 2 weeks the dog goes up for adoption and if the dog isn't gone with a certain time frame I think they have no other option but to destroy it, but they give the dog some time!

yu could hide one of her very very favorite toys so she thinks she lost it, and when she feels devastated about it, you could tell her that's how the owner of this dog feels, and then give her back her toy and when she's elated to have it back tell her that's how the owner of the dog will feel when they get their dog back!! lol....i don't know.....i've don't have kids old enough for that kind of stuff yet. I remember when I was little this dog came to our house and just never left. We put signs up and everything. Well we found out later that the owners moved about 4 hours away and just left the dog behind!! !:-( poor doggy!!!

I did try and tell her this.. and she seen him try to bite Dakota (our female black lab) and she was really mad at the dog so, I think she caught on. I found his owner! They're coming to pick him up 5:30 tonight. Until then I'm feeding this dog! And it cost me $15 for radio ads that they didn't even hear.. LoL.. I printed out the flyers and put them on every house around my area.. Luckily I put one up in the community they lived in and the son seen it. So. And
