Okay Kaden is sick---snotting everywhere, sneezing, puffy/watering eyes. I've tried an off brand benadryl a couple times in the last 24 hours but it doesn't seem to help...what else can they take??? I'm about to run to the store and either get some more benadryl or I'd like to find something else that might help him, especially tonight sleeping! dimeatapp? that is sticking in my head for some reason????
he's 8 months, but 25 pounds--I'm gonna go search the internet really fast, but wanted to check here too!

When my Kaden was sick I gave him baby Benylin. It worked great for a head/sinus cold. I think you can give it with Tylenol as well.

You could always call a pharmacy and tell them his symptoms, age and weight and see what they recommend. I hope he feels better soon.

have you tried some saline drops for his nose? Liv had the flu a few weeks ago and the hospital put saline up her nose before bed and it really helped...also nurofen for children...(you have that there)..worth a shot anyways! Good luck hope he is ok

Never heard of Benylin or Nurofen--but I just looked those up. Looks like Benylin is the same stuff that Robotussin is here. I looked at Robotussin at the store but it was more targeted for cough, which Kaden does not have. Nurofen looks like an iboprofen type drug for pain....
The pharmacy idea was good, but it was 7pm before I decided to go looking for something else......
Thanks guys for answering though!!! :)
I ended up getting benadryl-d for allergy and sinus. It just fit the symptoms better---I compared it against all the other meds there to make sure it was okay
......but Kaden is asleep right now and I don't hear him, so that means his nose is clear at the moment! Hopefully he can get some good sleep tonight---he hasn't been able to nap all day.

I didn't even think to mention the saline drops, they will work wonders. Just squirt a drop or two in each nostril and then use an aspirator to clean out his nose. It will help him breath a little better. You can use the drops with the benadryl as well.

Yeah the drops rock when they are congested--but snot is constently running out of his nose right now--doesn't need anymore moisture up there! lol.

You may want to try a humidifier and those plug in childrens vicks vapor stuff (I am not sure if they have an age limit). Also if you are breastfeeding squirt a little up each nostril. That stuff has some amazing healing powers.
