Im 20 years old and I cant imagine how Im going to tell my mom that Im pregnant with her 1st grandbaby.How did u tell ur parents that u were pregnant at a young age?? ↓

| at first i was sort of scared being i was 18 when i got pregnant with my first and in school...but i finally realized that i was married, living in my own house, paying my own bills. i just told my mom and she was really exicted, but i told her to wait a while before she told my dad..it would upset him too much...well, needless to say that he really wasn't upset that he just talked to me and told me that he wanted me to finish school and that this was a baby that no one was going to hold it against him/her...but my dad loves and would do anything for his first grandson : ) ↑ |

I had just turned 15 when I told my mum I was pregnant...its best to just come out with it. Your 20, thats old enough for her to take you seriously and respect you as an adult. She should act that way.
All mums are different, but im sure you'll be fine...
She walked in on me in the shower, I was 20 weeks and obvious, it was steamy glass so my shape was distorted. I knew i ocouldnt keep it secret much longer so i got dressed and went downstairs and told her that I was pregnant. She went crazy (my situation is probably very different to yours though, I fell pregnant from a rape, and told me to have an abortion as I could never bring a demon child into the world. amd how i olnly had 4 weeks left to have an abortion..then i told her it was twins and I was not having an abortion. She didnt take it well and threw me out...
but im not saying thats whats going to happen. your situation is very different to mine, your older, an adult and your not pregnant from a rape. Your mum probably isnt as crazy as mine, my mum still is a little mental! Im sure you will be fine, just sit her down and tell her straight and be prepared to answer any questions. | I'm 20 and I'm pregnant with twins. I took my parents out to dinner and waited until the food was being prepard and told them :-D They couldn't yell, or walk out.. It forced them to sit there calmly and talk about it ↑ |

| I was 18 (I'm 19 now but I'm still pregnant!) and I was really scared to tell my mom, I thought she'd freak out. But I decided to get it over with and tell her before I even went to the doctor to confirm it... I called her and said "mom, i think i'm pregnant." and all she said was "ok".. all calm like. so i was like "in fact, i'm pretty sure i'm pregnant.' but she was like "ok, let me know after you go to the doctor." i was really shocked! i was kind of disappointed that she didn't freak out because i'd prepared myself for this big deal. lol. ↑ |

| NICOLA... Well yea our situations r completely different.I dont even live with my parents. my mom is in another state.Hopefully she wont go to crazy.im sorry to hear about what happened with u. I think im just gonna buy y mom alot of granny things like bibs n books in all of that and thins that she can keep at her house and tell her when i go bak home in 2 weeks.My friends thinks that i should tell her over the phone bc we r so far away.Im like no Id rather do it in person.Which over the phone may b better bc if she yells i can just hang up...lol.But I need her support.I cant wait to tell her though!! ↑ |

| I would just tell them.I told my mom over the phone although we only live about 20 minutes apart.I called her as soon as I let the doctors office.I was POSITIVE they were going to get upset but decided to tell them anyway.They never even got upset at all.My mom is always here for me when I have a question or need to ask someone something or even just when I need reassurance.Sure I live on my own and am 24 but I still wanted them to know right away. ↑ |
