Ok ya'll, question time. I asked a similar question a few days ago, but i'm getting more specific. Those of you who were/are teen parents...how did YOU tell YOUR parents?

I'm at a loss for how to do this. I'm considering writing her a letter after I get my insurence set up (just waiting on the card to come in the mail) and get my dr apts going.

Background info, I'm a 17 yr old senior in high school, 5 weeks preg, still plan to attend college (have 2 yr scholarship paid for), and have interviews for jobs all next week.

Any advice would be appreciated greatly :)

Dont wait till you get everything going because then they will feel like you were hiding it from them and they will be more upset. When I was pregnant I just came out and told them and to my suprise they were no mad at me just a little dissapointed. But now they love my nearly 2 year old daughter to death. I brought it up just like I wouold any other porblem and said " Mom or Dad I just found out that Im pregnant and would like your support with the decision that I choose also if you would like to go to the prenatal exams with me I would love that." I know it seems easier to write then to say but when I did I felt so much better because I did not have to hold it back any longer

Hi, I'm Josette and I am 31 years old. I'm married with one son who will be six years old. I am now in my fifth week of pregnancy and only my husband, sister and nieces know. This time I find it difficult to tell my parents I don't know why, the first time I was so excited though I was not married. Now I'm married and I am afraid. Anyone with some helpful tips will be greatly appreciated.

Jossete, are you afraid your parents will not be supportive? Also I am pregnant with my second baby but Im 19 and unweb just with the babies father and I was worried to but once I told my parents and my boyfriends I was able to enjoy my pregnancy. Just come out like a joke type thing. I said "Guess what Im making you even older now" they said Why I said "Im making you a grandmother again" lol sounds dorky but it was much easier then sitting down and talking serious to them. So try making the announcment fun

Hi there Sarah.
I shall try it your way and you let you know my dear. lol.

Oh, by the way, your first delivery was it a natural birth or C Section. I had no intense labour with my son due to the fact that I had a C Section, it was not that bad. I'd like to know the type of labour pains from now so that I can start crying! lol.
