Hello ladies!!

So...baby will be here soon (4.5 weeks) and my family has a baby shower planned for me in August...problem is, all my family lives in and around Vancouver so they plan on having it there. Vancouver is about 4 - 5 hours away and I was wondering if it is safe to take baby on a roadtrip for that long, she will be around 4-5 weeks (if everything goes as planned)

So what do you all think? I am going with my mom, so she will be doing all the driving and I plan to have her breastfed so of course we will be making some pit-stops on the way so I can feed her, burp herm, change her but do you think she will be ok for the drive? Or do you think she will be too young and that the family should hold off for a couple more weeks?

Also, I plan to be in Vancouver for about a week, so it wont be two 4 hour trips back to back....

It all sounds fine to me. I don't see any reason for you not to make the trip. Have fun!

Sounds fine to me.

But if I were you I would sit in the backseat with her. Just incase she cry something awful and you can try to soothe her.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for your responses!!

Someone once told me not to travel with a newborn until at the very least, 6 weeks - Im not too sure why so I thought I would ask here...Im really excited for my shower so it's good to know that travelling with her won't be a problem.

Thanks again!
