When can you tell you're having multiple babies and we do you get your first ultrasound taken?

depends on your MD, some will do 8-10 weeks, other's won't do until 16-20 weeks, if you don't get one earlier, you will be able to hear 2 heartbeats around 10-12 weeks,
Clues your having multiples-your HCG levels will be high, your uterus will be larger then your dates indicate, 2 heartbeats, and U/S

well some in pregnancy the parents dont find out until birth so its always a question until then, but good luck.

When I went for my appointment at 10 weeks I was told my uterus was large for my date. Still haven't had an ultrasound and I'm 13 weeks now. Also, when we listened for the heartbeat on Doppler, we heard one for only a split second...so that didn't tell us much. All I know is twins run in Craige's family...both of his grandparents are twins. I'm really wanting that U/S so I can see if we've got one or two in there!

Another way to tell if you're having multiples is that usually your pregnancy symptoms are much more extreme. Such as morning sickness and that sort of thing.
