Wow, i didnt realize how expensive baby stuff is now!!! with my daughter a few years ago we got a swing for like 49$ a bouncer for like 25$ play yard thingy for like 55$ i dunno rough estimates LOL but geeeeeeez Joe and I started looking toay at all the cute baby things they have and theyre mad fricking expensive!! i got this catalog in the mail with all the 2007 fisher price baby stuff but it has no prices, well i found a bunch of stuff i like then looked them up online......the swing we like is 159$! LOL, i think we're going to be shopping at consignment shops this time around! ↓

LOL j/k i do like the rain forest stuff, i like the swing because it goes front to back as well as side to side i wish ours did that
but we got all our stuff from Target , the Family Trees Line, and i LOVE THEM all, all we dont have in the set is the High Chair, which we are getting next week, and the Double Stroller.... but ummm ya we wont be needing that LOL ↑ |

| It's so worth it though! My Fisher Price Rainforest Open Top Cradle swing was $ 179 BUT it goes side to side, front to back, moving peek a poo mobile and IT PLUGS IN! We had another swing and we spent so much on batteries because my son was in it so much. ↑ |

| yeah fisher price has a swing called starlight papasan swing it has like this canopy thingy that goes around it and stars twinkle on it, an it goes front to back and side to side... I WANT IT LOL.......of course if we find out we are having a girl i like all the pink stuff they make now! ↑ |

Its the best when you spend the big bucks on swings and bouncearoos and your kid won't use them! grrrrr.

DAVINA! DO NOT GET THAT SWING!
sorry for the caps but i want to stress the point. i have the identical swing in pink, it is the butterfly garden one, and while the lights are neat and keep my daughter entertained for 5 minutes, the swinging part suck. the motor started to die after a week of use. And even when it was brand new it just didn't have any umph. It has never swung my daughter to sleep. However, I have the rainforest one at work (it cost 100) and it puts her to sleep every day, and she loves the mobile too!

| thank you for yalls input! lol someone else also told me that starlight swing is a POS sooo needless to say i wont be investing in that one! but i still love all the papasan stuff like i said it just looks so comfy! consignment shops here we come! My mother got angry at us for buying new stuff. We can afford it, and we want to give our son the best we can, but we are not getting top top top of the range stuff, but not the cheap stuff either. The thing is if you are willing to look around and spend time hunting you can get the good stuff a little cheaper. I saved over $100 on the pram I wanted and I got it brand new. Take the time and you may find what you want.
That said I am naughty and buying things I shouldn't. I bought him a name puzzle the other day (and he is due in February) from www.mooo.com.au I couldn't help myself, it is so cute. I am also getting a wooden thing of his name (ebay) and I want a peanut shell (baby carrier sling).... can't you tell I am a crazy first time mum with too much time on her hands. ↑ |
