Just back from the hospital. Baby is fine! She did an Internal, and said I'm 1-2 centimetres dilated and I'm softening, and then she did a membrane sweep (aoch!), and told me it has a 50% chance of putting me into labour within the next 24-48 hours!

I'm scheduled for an induction of labour on Tuesday 11th Sept if I don't go into labour beforehand! Woo hoo!

Good luck. I hope he makes it here safely and in the least painful way possible LOL
You will almost definitely be a mommy within a week!

I know ... I thought about the date after she booked it for me. Induction of labour can take all day though so it could be the early hours of the 12th before he's born ...

I was induced on December 11th : )
I was in labour for 27 hours, and finally had a c section on December 12th. I know here though, unless you or your baby are at risk, they tell you to expect up to 3 days for an induction. My son had an unstable lie and the section was recommended to me first, but I took the induction. I wish now I would have just had the c section.

Yeah, they warned me that it can take longer than a spontaneous labour, and therefore I'd need more pain relief. They also said there was a higher chance to have a foreceps or vacuum delivery, or a c section. I had a sweep yesterday but still don't feel any different. :(

Hopefully you will go natually now. I hated being induced. With my first child, I was 2cm 2 weeks before he showed. With my second I was induced at 39 weeks due to decreased fetal movement. Wasn't even 1cm when admitted to the hospital. Was started that night with something inserted down there then pitocin the next morning, he was born just after 4pm. I was told I could be there for up to 3 days before he could be born because I wasn't even really soft yet. My doctor said she felt it wasn't the pitocin that brought labor on but just that he was ready. This was my second child and statistics show it does go faster but my odds were different because my children were 11 years apart. So it could go either way for you.

I'm root'n for a natural birth for you. I bet you have your baby before the 11th.

Hi Daisy,
Well I'm still not having signs of labour. :( I was hoping for some action last night, but nope. :( Still, it hasn't yet been 48 hours so there's still hope! I really don't want to be induced, but if I have to, then that's ok.
