lol yep i have a constant pain in the butt!! for about two weeks or so my left butt cheek almost at the top and towards the outer part has been bothering me alot! it feels like i've been punched over and over in the same spot. it bothers me alittle when im sitting but kills me when i try to stand, bend, or get outta bed. have any of you had this? what is wrong with me? im only 24 wks so i cant blame this on the weight of the baby although the dr. said i've gain 10lbs since my last exam 4 wks ago.what should i do to ease this?

it makes me feel good to know somebody else is gaining weight like i did! lol i felt like such a fat cow (still do)..Those books are stupid when they tell you that you're only going to gain a pound a week or less... they're stupid. but about your problem.. .i'm not sure. haha. sorry. just ask your doctor because it could be a blood clot or something.

my muscle is so sore in one spot and cant figure out why. far as the weight i was about 3 mths when the dr. chewed me out about losing instead of gaining.last mth i learned that i went from about 145 to 149 and now this month i went to 159 and im only 24 wks as of today. im gonna look like a freaking cow!! lol..im wondering if the big weight gain is whats causing me to be sore right in that one spot

I don't think it has to do with your weight. The baby is probably pressing on a nerve, like your sciatic nerve. It's very common. Mine presses on a nerve that causes me to get pins and needles (like when your foot falls asleep) just under my ribs. It feels so weird.

I don't know if this is your first, but it's pretty common to have one month with a big weight gain. As long as it evens out over the next couple of months, you're fine!

actually this is my third pregnancy, i have two daughters and this is my first son all 5 years apart. i've already thought about what your saying missmara about the nerve but like i said this is none stop, it just wont go away. and as far as the weight gain i put on alot with my other two so this is no surprise. what happened was because of me being so sick at first i lost alot of weight instead of gaining and now its catching up to me lol. its just weird that ever since i started gaining i've had this pain. my son to be hubby says its from sitting at this computer so much lol but actually i do move alot during the day,i babysit three other children besides my own so they always have me on the run. i tryed soaking in the tub but nothing,it hurts if i lay and it hurts when i sit or walk. its driving me crazy. i dont remember having half these problems while carring my other two. i'll be so glad when this is over

hi jamie, every pregnancy is different. im also on my third and each one is different. i also get pain in my butt (why does everyone think its so funny when you tell them) but if its all the time go back and hassle the doctor. also weight gain really annoys me, why do people think they have a right to comment on your weight when youre pregnant, im the size of a house and proud of my bump, if i wasnt showing by now id be worried but if one more person tells me im huge ill punch em :)
