I have hard mixed things about caffiene intake and pregnancy but most say you can have about one can of soda or a cup of coffee a day. Personally I stayed away from it my entire pregnancy , coffee , soda those sorts of things. I am know 39 weeks pregnant and my son is so damn big :) at least it feels that way cause his feet are constantly in my rib today he was driving me crazy , my whole right side hurt because he had stuck his foot in my rib and was literally pressing on me from the right side , I drank a can of coke to get the little bugger to move , between the sugar and rush of caffiene he literally started moving around in there and to my relief shifted enough to get his foot out of my rib, lately this has seemed to be the trick that works best , i don't have more than one or two cans of caffiene kind of soda in a week , has anyone else had caffiene in there pregnancy any other more "healthy" suggestions for getting him to move out of an uncomfortable spot?

I always just pushed on my son] I just made sure I knew what I was pushing on. Drinking cold water seems to work for some people, or bending over and snapping back up very quickly. AT least you don't have much longer to go!

they say if you get on the floor in the doggy style position (sorry but that's what they say) and stay like that for 10 to 15 minutes that babies will move around...i tried it since my child has been holed up near my ribs since BEFORE Christmas but it doesn't work. He/she moves but not enough to make a difference.

and p.s. they say caffeine is fine during pregnancy as long as you do it in moderation.

i always hear too much caffeine = hyper kids but my friend lived on mountain dew and candy during her pregnancy and she has the most mellow child. my health nut friend has the spaz child...weird.

LOL....my daughter isn't hyper at all...she's so lazy!! LOL....and i drank coffee and drank pop. I think they say to try and stay away cause it can lead to babies with low birth weight or something. But i need my caffein or i can't function! lol....and Anika was 8lb13oz, so i don't think the caffein affected her too much!! lol

I had caffiene through my whole pregnancy and my baby came out 8 lbs. 8 oz. and perfectly healthy and happy.....I read that caffeine is bad in the first 13 weeks because thats when the brain is forming the most (along with everything else) and caffeine affects that all in a negative way......i avoided it the first 13 weeks than totally forgot for the rest...

I've heard that small amounts of caffiene is safe, but they are linking large amounts to miscarriages, premature labor and sids. It seems to me there are always 20 different opinions out there and studies to back them up so I guess less is best when it comes to chemicals. I was looking it up a couple of weeks ago because I'm a faithful coffee drinker and was hoping I didn't have to give it up. I cut myself down to 2 cups a week. My little treat for behaving myself :)
