latley for the past week or so xylea has not wanted to eat at all. i mean she went from eating every 3 to 4 hours durring the day and every 6 hours at night. but last night i made her a 6 oz bottle and she played around for like 30 min and only drank 1 oz, so i layed her down awake and she passed out like 5 min later. she woke up at 12am and almost didnt finish the rest of the 5 oz from her first night bottle. i asked dinos mom today and she said she has not wanted to eat much at all. i am going out of town tonight with dino and i kinda now want to just stay home because i feel like she is sick. the dr put her on a antibotic last tuesday and she will not be done till friday.

my gut feeling is that she is probably:

teething because she always has her hands in her mouth and gumms her fingers and also drulls like a waterfall

the antibotic is making her not want to eat

confused because of the spoon feeding i did last week and stoped because she gets really cranky and i cant get her to eat much

the night cereal feedings?

i dont know what to think. if anyone has a opinion please share. ↓

I dont have much experienc with infants.. other than my 9 week old daughter. But to my knowledge antibiotics cause a loss of appetite. I dont know what else to tell ya. I hope another person can help you out more. ↑

call the doctor right quick and ask if antibiotics have that side effect. i knowbraden will eat tons more, or tons less when having a growing spurt. is she sleeping normal or wanting to sleep more? ↑

she is sleeping alot. dinos mom said she slept all day yesterday and she was out by 8 last night. i researched the med and it said that loss of apitite (sc) is not a side effect. but that makes sense about the growth spurt. - thanks - ↑

girl it could be lots of things including the heat. IT has been in the 90's here and kendra is not eating that much. Her dr said it was ok, but to make sure that she is getting at least 18-20 oz per day. As for the teething the hands in the mouth thing is not really a good indicator, because that it just what babies do. Kendra has everything she can get ahold of in her mouth and 90% of the time it is her hands. That is jsut how babies discover their world. Look at her gums and see if they look a bit swollen. If so she may inface be teething. I also second exactally what coart said about the growth spurt thing. ↑
