Well nothing interesting happened. They just did a group B strep test. He didn't even check my cervix. I have the ultra sound scheduled for Monday morning and then I see the dr on Thursday. They should let me know then if they are going to plan an induction. The good thing is that my measurement was closer to what it should be this time, but still large. That might mean that her growth has slowed down and she will be a regular size baby :) I will find out for sure how big she is at the ultra sound though. I want her to come naturally, but I hope she doesn't wait the entire 40 weeks and stay in until the 24th.

Some doctors won't even discuss induction until you are at 40 weeks at which time they will let you know when they would plan for an induction if one is needed. You can always asked your dr. to see how far pass you due date would he wait before inducing.

My doctor will induce you or plan your section at 38 weeks! I had a friend who was induced the week before my section at 38 weeks so I think it really just depends on the doctor!

It is going to work out! I think if you explain the situation to the doctor from the get-go then he will work with you.

where i'm from i don't even think that they'll keep you in the hospital for 3 days with a c-section..they want you to pop the baby out and go home..i was going to have to have a c-section b/c i was in labor for 18 freaking hours...but he finally decided he would make his intrance...lol. may i ask why are you going somewhere else to have the baby?

You can go home whenever after a C-section, unless there are complications. It is just recommended that you stay 72 hours after giving birth. I left on day 2 post op and just had to sign a release. There is NO way I was going home on the first day though cause I am a WUSS and it hurt!

my husband and i are from florida. at about 21 weeks i moved over to turkey since he was here stationed here for the air force. i was supposed to go to germany air base to deliver but decided i would go back to florida so i wouldnt sit in a hotel room on base alone for 2 months at least i could stay with my parents and have my friends there and my husband could come back and see his family when the baby is due. but things have gotten a little screwed up b.c of my iron being low so we ended up having to pay for me tofly back to florida instead of them providing transportation, and even if i decided to stay and go to the other AB in germany i cant b.c i got denied b.c of my iron being low they just wont fly me, so its florida or give birth in an actual turkish hospital, and not trying to sound snooty or racist but id like a doctor that spoke english a language barrior with that is crazy

oooohhh, i see know...the reason my dr induced me was b.c i was in just so much pain and uncomforable...i hurt al the time..and since i was at the full term mark he just went ahead and induced. after i had bryson, i just wanted out of that hospital..i didn't do the nesting before but after..i got home and started dong laundry. i actually gave birth at 3:00 in the morning..had to stay a full day and that next morning i was outta there.

mom2Be---I am not looking for an induction, but the baby has been measuring large and my dr said that we may have to induce early to avoid her getting to big. I hope she comes out all on her own and is not a toddler LOL Like you coartney I am afraid of ending up with a c section due to being induced.
