Well i just got my results back and they're kinda high! ooopss....i really did try and be careful too!! last time when I was pregnant with anika, it was high too, and so i had to do the 3 hour test, and then it turned out normal. This time it was high, and the doctor decided that i should go to the diabetic clinic here and see why it's high for the one hour one and not high for the 3 hour one. maybe something's not registering on the 3 hour one for some reason. So now I'm all freaking out think i might have diabetes....and not just gestational.....it runs in my family...fucking piss me off!!!! my hubby isn't going to like this one bit!!!

It's actually really common to be high on the one hour and normal on the three hour. I was with Sophie, and my sister was with both of hers. Diabetes runs in our family too, but it hasn't been a problem for us so far. I actually have really low blood sugar, so the three hour test almost killed me lol!!

when i went my dr had told me that they are going to tell you to fast ..... but dont fast its not a fasting test, and i went and one nurse was like did you fast, and i was like i was told not to and the other nurse was like no shes fine... lol

you're not supposed to fast, but you're not supposed to really chow food since it has natural sugars that can raise it. i ate about 2-3 hours before taking the test and only drank water before the test. andonly had a small meal before, english muffin and jam. i have hypoglycemia so mine is usually low but some food can spike it thats why i asked

Well I hope you don't have GD, it sucks. The eating part is not as hard as I thought it would be except I miss eating sugary stuff. But poking myself 4 times a day and making sure to eat 6 times a day at approximatly the same time sucks!

geesh you sound like you have straight up diabetes that sucks, do they think its gonna go away after giving birth like most cases or you gonna be one of the fewlucky to get stuck with diabetes
