just found out my grandpa has prostate cancer...we dont kow how bad it is yet but i know it must be bad since he should have done the biopsy a YEAR ago... this year seems to suck for me doesnt it

:( I'm sorry. But if it helps, 2 of my uncles (both mid 60s) have prostrate cancer, one was diagnosed 4 years ago, the other 2 years ago, and both are fit and well. x

yeah the only reason i am really worried is he put off getting it tested for cancer a whole year...

there are these levels that they test for and a normal level is 2 or under and last year he was at an 8 this year he was at 12. he didnt do anything about it thinking it would go away. well it didnt

Men are in the habit of doing that. I have lost several male family members who could have been saved if they had gone to the doctors when they should have.

Still, it is a very SLOW progressing cancer and sometimes lies doment for years. It is probably the most forgiving of all cancers, but still it's cancer and it's frightening.

At least now it can be dealt with. Keep us updated on his progress.

Hey, sorry to hear about your grandpa, but on a good note prostate cancer is one of the less invasive surgery's and is easier to fix.
