ok so as everyone knows i had to have a level 2 sonogram. Well they were worried about complications i could have because i was on birthcontrol at the time of conception up until about 2 weeks ago. Well they found a heart defect...baby has a hole in his heart. I have to see a pediatric cardiologist and figure out what we are going to do about it. On top of that the baby has one more sign of down syndrome. Its head is measuring 7 days ahead of its arms and legs. I am waiting for my triple screen test to come back to see if i carry down syndrome. But i will wait for that and what the pediactric cardiologist says to determine wether or not i will do amniocentiesis(sp?).
they did change my due date. to August 8
I am having a boy.
i love you all. please dont say any oh im so sorry's or anything. Just be supportive while i am going through all of this... i wish things could be easier..i think i have had it hard enough recently... ↓

I said boy! Woohoo. Boys are mommy's little boys. And my mom told me that she wanted me to have a boy so I would know what unconditional love from a guy was like. (Not in a sexual way obviously) I'm sooo happy for you. I know you will raise on strong, smart, dependable, independent guy. We need more out there.

I'm sorry about the problems with his heart. I hope it all works out, I was wondering why you needed to have a level2, but wasn't sure if you wanted to share. Things might just be ok. The baby I am pregnant with now had cysts on her brain and they told me she might not even make it through the rest of the pregnancy, and if she did, most of those babies die within a week from their birth. I was terrified, but after looking into it further, it ended up being ok. I hope the same happens for you! ♥♥ ↑ |

| With my son, the triple screen test came back showing he was high risk for down syndrome and whent hey did the more in depth ultrasound it wasn't conclusive either way and we opted not to have the amnio so we didn't know until he was born that he didn't have it. However, they did change my due date when they did that ultrasound and said if the test is not done during a certain period during pregnancy the results can be inaccurate. Since they changed your due date yesterday your test may come back positive, but that doens't mean he's going to have it. ↑ |

also....I was born with a little hole in my heart and i was fine, i actually outgrew it when i got into my teens, i got echocardiograms every once in a while to ensure everything was working right, here i am 23 years old and doing just fine!
AND...we had a downs syndrome scare w/haylee too when i was pregnant with her because of her head size......she just has a big head LOL, they said the crown of her head when she was born was a little bit larger than most newborns, they thought she was going to be 9 or 10 pounds at birth! she was only 8! haha

| I am sorry to hear that there may be a problem. I will say a prayer for you. I am shocked to hear that they suspected a problem based on the fact that you were on BF at the time on conception. I was also on BC when I goet preg with Kendra, by I was told by my dr and personal research, that it would not cause a problem, because they are just hormones that your body produces normally anyway, and they have nothing to do with genetics. Either way I hope that it all works out for you and congrats onhaving a boy ↑ |
