hurt soooo bad, I've googled why they would hurt and this is what i come up w/

pregnancy
hormone changes or pills
menapause
breastfeeding
clogged duct
mastitis
pms

none of the above apply to me, i quite nursing in dec., i'm not having a hormone surge or drop and I'm not on hormone meds. I'm def. not in menapause, Idon't get my period until like the 28th, and my husband had a vasectomy so i can't get pregnant.

When i do get a period my boobs hurt a little bit, but not like this.....they are swollen like when i was nursing I had to even pull my size D's back out and they are soooo darn tender, I've never had this problem. What the heck is going on????? Have any of you had sore breast for no reason....oh btw they have been like this since sat. or sun.

I've only had pain, swelling and tenderness like you are describing twice and both times it was from pregnancy. As I'm sure you already know sometimes vasectomies aren't 100%......are you having any other symptoms???

Hmmm, I don't know! I've never heard of anyone having swollen breasts after ovulation, but I guess it could be possible. I know what you mean about having that feeling you are pregnant, I don't know what it could be, When I google it, I get sites talking about pregnancy so I don't know. I hope you feel better soon. Sorry I'm no help.

I just looked it up and here are some signs of ovulation:

What are signs of ovulation?
The signs of ovulation can be any of the following, although many women may only notice one or two of these:
• Change in cervical fluid
• Change in cervical position and cervical firmness
• Brief twinge of pain or dull ache that is felt on one side of the abdomen
• Light spotting
• Increase in sex drive
• Elevated level of the luteinizing hormone which can be detected on a test
• Body temperature chart that shows a consistent change
• Breast tenderness
• Abdominal bloating
• Heightened sense of vision, smell or taste

I know this may sound strange, but when women are ttc they will sometimes convince themsleves that they have every sign of pregnancy because they want it to be true so badly, maybe since your hubby had a vasectomy your convinced in your mind that it's not even a possibility and you are missing signs? I don't know, I know the odds are not likely for you to be pregnant, but with that big of a change in your breast size and the pain you are having, I'm not sure what else it could be. I guess wait to see if you get your period on time and if you do and your breasts still hurt you should go to the doctor.

well it's to early to test, the first day of my last period was 2/28/08 that would make me 3 weeks along, i guess next week if i don't get my period......... :(

but i still don't think thats it

It's probably not that, but just the only thing I can come up with both from personal experience and when I google it. Try putting some ice on them and hopefully they will feel better soon.

Although I have no explanation for your pain, I can definately sympathise with you! I never had this problem with my first. In fact this is the only time in my life that I have consistent boob pain that hurts this much. I didn't even have this problem when I was nursing. I know how frustrating the pain can be.

I also read something about like cystic fibroids......

I don't have the knotty things for that either, I'm completely baffled
