ok ladies this is kinda embaressing and prob tmi, but i need some support kinda scared. So for like 6 weeks now, I've been having this pain in my rectum, and i thought maybe it was a hemmeroid (sp) and what luck i gave birth to 5 kids and never had one and now emilee is 15 months and i get one......
anyway, so i'm such a dork about 3 weeks ago i decide i better get some over the counter meds for it, i know it's lame but everytime i went to get it that ailse was packed and i was to embaessed to buy the cream...so i finally got some a week ago...but i'd gotten no results, and actually the pain was getting worse. So i looked up hemmeroids and i have no symptoms of them, but every symptom to a t of something called levator ani syndrome. I know this is gross it describes it as a feeling like a ball up your ass, well i'd told my husband my ass felt like someone had inserted 2 fingers and were spreading my butt apart and stretching it like a rubber band...it's a constant pain, an hurts sooo soooo bad to sit, and I'm scared because it says it's easily misdialgnosed as hemmeroids......will i look like a complete fool if i run a print off of a descrition of this and bring it with to the dr.'s in case they try to send me home misdiagnosed???? I know they are dr.'s I'm not questioning the dr.'s ability i just want this prob. fixxed as i'm soooo uncoomfy an embaressed about it. Also to make matters worse since we've moved in may i've had no reason to go to the dr. so i've never meet the one i'm going to and i have to explain this prob. to a stranger.......i wasn't sure what kind of dr to go to, so i'm due for an anual anyway, so i just scd one of those and thought i'd brouch this subject and they could help or steer me to the right place. ↓

DAMN GIRL! i totally feel your pain. i had rhoids with both my kids and they still come out when i have a bowel movement (sorry if tmi). i would totally print off the info. but you'll prob. have to see a specialist if that IS what's wrong with you b/c they will prob. have to go,,,,,um,,,,,,,inside your butt. sorry. :(

yeah, i got them with christian and they never went away. they only go back inside my bum. and then when i poo, they come back out. but about 20 min. after i poo, they go back in. sometimes, i have to get a cold baby wipe and put it there. i think they have those Tuks medicated pads that also serve that purpose. i've looked up the surgery to have them removed and EVERYONE said that it was the most painful thing they ever had to do and they regretted it. i want to get it done one day.....when i grow the balls. lol. ↑ |

well no it doesn't hurt to go to the bathroom,
levator ani syndrome, is basically muscle spasm, that cause this pain.......it's from pressure and strain in that area i thin.....maybe from having 5 kids i dunno..... ↑ |

Well, m25, I feel for you...I was experiencing issues with my backside last week but more with constipation and hemorrhoids...it is horrible...and embarassing, at least your boss didn't have to unplug the toilet for you... ;)
I would definitely see a doctor and let them check it out, it is embarassing absolutely, but at least you would get one of the worst situations out of the way for any future visits! There isn't much more embarassing things then going to the doctor about your ass and it not functioning properly...I don't know if they have walk-in clinics where you live, but if they do, you should go to one, I doubt you would be able to wait for 2 weeks to see someone if you are in this much pain now. ↑ |

| Okay so I know I'm late in responding to this post, but here is a personal question that you do not have to answer, lol, but if you and your hubby have anal sex you could have torn something????????? I don't think it would be wrong at all to print off the info you found and take it with you to your appt. At least, then when you ask about it they can tell you what they think. Are you going to ask about your sore swollen breasts when you go too? Hopefully they will be better by then. ↑ |
