Lillian Sheree was born on Saturday January 31 at 2:33 pm.She was 7lb.9oz and 20 inches long. The labor and delivery wasnt too bad as I was already in labor and dilated to a six when I went in,a little while later the doc broke my water at a seven and she was born about 2 hours later after about 1 hour of hard contractions.I felt totally awesome immediately after she was born and was so excited to be having a healthy newborn that I could hold right away, but this was not meant to be I guess.....Lily was rushed to the nursery and couldnt stay warm or keep her blood sugar up.However they released us less than 24 hours later.I never can hardly wake her up.We spent 5 hours at appointments yesterday at the hospital meeting with her doc,the lab, lactation consultant and everyone assured me other than a little jaundice she was ok,just really sleepy.Well, last night I just couldnt shake the feeling that all was not well with m y new baby girl so I took her to the ER after she started throwing up bright yellow stuff even 4 hours after she had eaten. After a few X-rays of her belly we were immediately life flighted back to (yes,my favorite place)Denver Colorado.......sigh.So Daisy is 150 miles away with my mum and my precious baby is very sick in the NICU......I'll be honest I am really down about it all,but I guess life was never meant to be all up hill.....Please dont bother posting if you cant say something nice.
Love to all my friends, xoxox
esp.Rosey,Lauren,and Nikki

hey sal. i know it felt like everything was going to be peachy keen, hell i was getting excited for you that everything was going to be "normal" with this one. but since that is not the case let me remind you how strong you are. because you are. look at all you have made it through with daisy. and look at how great daisy is doing. i know this pains you beyond words, but you can do it. be strong for lily. start pumping so she can get all the goodness of the breast milk. she is going to pull through hun, i know she will, since she is your kid she is definitely a fighter!!! i will be praying for you. i know it must be incredibly hard to be away from Daisy and while what i am about to say is easier said than done put her out of your mind, your mom will take wonderful care of her and you don't need to stress about daisy, just concentrate your efforts on lily. and always always follow your gut, if you feel something is wrong trust your instincts, sometimes the doctors or nurses miss things that us moms notice. love you girl.
