You can feed pretty well anything. The only fruits you don't need to boil or bake are avacados and bananas. Other than that, bake or boil everything until about 7/8 months. I baked things like peaches (with a little cinnamon), plums, apricots. Don't feed anything citrus (oranges etc.) their stomachs can't handle the acidity this early. Make sure you peel the skin off of anything and remove pits or seeds.

Oh, you don't need to cook watermelon. Just make sure there are no seeds. I freeze scoops of it for Kaden and it's just like ice cream when it was hot.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, no berries before 1 year except blueberries. I should have said that. They are really allergenic and since you and Braden have allergies, I would probably stay away from them. I have given raspberries and blueberries to Kaden, but not strawberries.

when can u start juices?

I started juices around 4-5 months because when Kaden was on soy he was constipated. Now that he is back on regular formula, he only gets water. You can give him juice, just make sure it's 100% juice. No blends or cocktails... they usually have added sugar, and if you can, find juice not from concentrate. I pureed cantelope and froze it into ice cubes. Then I would put a cantelope cube in a sippy cup (never juice in a bottle) and add a few ounces of water. As the cube melted, he would get sweet juice, but it was healthy and cantelope naturally does not have much sugar.

Oh, and Kaden never liked his mesh feeder. It was a big waste for us lol

Once your baby is on solids you can give water. I don't give much and he drinks it out of a little plastic cup now.

You could just mash some food up for him. He won't be able to feed it to himself for another couple months, but in my opinion, it's best to get him used to the fresh food now. I also made sure that I left it chunky. I think that's why Kaden can eat such big pieces without choking. He learned how to chew early on because I never pureed his food much. Just mashed it.

I gave him adult juice. Baby juice is a waste of money. Look in a refridgerated aisle and there should be some juice. I found organic juice boxes made by KiJuice (i think) and Kaden loves them. I just need to drink some first so when he sqeezes and sucks out of the straw it doesn't all come up.

Kaden loves baked squash and sweet potato. Peas, green beans.

Try and avoid carrots until 8 months and I would stay away from corn as well.
