Well according to my first due date (sept. 19) i'm 38 weeks and my second (sept. 23) i'm 37 weeks. the doctor told me that i'd be ready to go after the 12th so I'm hoping he'll just induce cause its really hot to be carrying a baby now. ↓

| don't get induced just because you want to! unless you're over due or something is wrong that is very selfish! And for the record getting induced increases your risk of having a C-section... so you're really not getting out of anything. wait till your baby is really ready. ↑ |

| well, babies do come when they're ready, but at 37 weeks they ARE perfectly capable of surviving. Im 35w4d and im gonna ask for my scheduled c-section to be at 38 weeks instead of 39. It's the same thing for induction isnt it? Everyone i know got induced at 38 weeks just because...so i dont see what the big deal is. And its not selfish either...i can barely walk from horrible back pain, and the dr. said the more i walk the more damage im gonna do to my body...so i really wouldnt mind her coming even at 36 weeks. My son was born at 36 weeks and he was perfect, i guess it just depends on the baby...some are born overdue and they STILL need oxygen and/or incubators. Nobody can predict that, no matter how far along you are. ↑ |

Well, I was induced Tuesday. The only reason being the doctor told me that my baby is ready, and he wanted to induce me. I also had a nine pounder, but it's a baby and babies are joy-when ever they come. I did not have to have a c-section, but it's different from body to body. I've had three kids and had all of them with out a c-section.

| I'd rather not be induced. I want to go into labour on my own. I'm now 4 days overdue, and they told me they'd induce me on 11th, when I'm 7 days overdue. I got the membrane sweep, I'm eating curry and pineapple, taking long walks, baths etc. Doing everything to start labouring naturally, but it's just not happening. Maybe over the next couple of days I'll get some joy! ↑ |

| Ohh lucky you. I'm now 5 days overdue, and I've resigned myself to the probability that this baby isn't going to come before Tuesday 11th. Looks like I'm going to be induced at exactly 41-weeks. ↑ |
