Has anyone had or are having any problems during their pregnancy? I was told my uterus was tilted more than a "normal" uterus would be.. Is this something I should be concerned about and would having a canal birth be dangerous to myself and my child?? this is my first little one and im 13wks along. Thanks

I would think those are questions for your Doctor.

I agree with Angela. I called my Dr. alot during my first pregnancy, but it's better to know. I have a tilted uterus, but I think that when they rise up out of the pelvic area, they straighten out some and it doesn't matter as much. I would just ask.

Hey Nora, Just wanted to let ya know that I have the same thing, its called a tilted uterus and it doesnt mean anything. It doesnt mean your gonna have to have a csection or any problems giving birth. If you google search "tilted uterus" it will tell you all you need know and of course as the other people said you could ask your doctor, but im telling you that you have nothing to be concerned with. Im 32 weeks and due March 17 so i'll keep ya updated if there were any problems. Hope that makes you feel a lil better.

I have a titled uterus. The doc said that it may make it a little more difficult for me to concieve, but that was wrong because I am 36 weeks with baby #2... Anyway, with baby #1 the titled uterus casued no concern at all during the pregnancy or L&D... Just for your peace of mind though do consult your doc with any questions, I am sure they will be happy to answer them for you.

i was diagnosed today with a tilted uterus. retroflex uterus. i had a miscarriage on the 4th of march. i had just found out i was pregnant. i have three other children. and my uterus was fine while carring them. but now i am trying again. and miscarry to to this my doctor thinks. he told me that i should be able still get pregnant and have a healthy baby just besure if you see any signs of blood to get off your feet immediately. i didn't do taht i saw brown in my urine and thought it was normal. when i walked on it shook my baby a loose and cause me to miscarry. make sure you keep your appointments with your doctor. and i was told at 4 months of the pregnancy if you make it that far that your uterus would come up right in the position that it should be in. let me know how everything goes. i could use some good news now. thanks melissa asher. thanks for that information melissa. I really appreciate it. I just had an appt last thursday and everything is perfectly fine.. my uterus is up right and is actually sitting a little farther north than normal (sounds like im carrying a girl) I'm 21 weeks now, and my doctor told me that i have a long baby.. daddy's 6'3 and im about 5'7. this will make for an interesting birth..LOL

but im sorry to hear about the miscarriage, it to me sounds like that the egg didnt implant itself properly and there are cases like that out there too... but since you have 3 other children i dont think you should have any other problems conceiving again...but if you do get pregnant... i hope everything goes good for you!!!
