You aren't alone, I use starvation to cope with my stress and insecurities too but in the end it only makes my pain worse, not better. All it does is add yet another problem to my life and even though it numbs the pain temporarily there is no hell like being trapped in your own rituals and obsessions. If you aren't already, please seek help, and if you are talking to a therapist tell them how you feel. Don't give in to your ED, it's not worth it!

quite often i feel like letting my ED win. Just the thought of being away from all the stress and obession sounds great.
i know my mind is now screwed and i feel like moving far away or just ending it all.
you will have a power within yourself that will keep you going. i really love my family and my brand new car and pets and i would never want to leave them.

i am focusing on getting a mortgage so i can have something positive in my life

also remember that the more progress you make in beating your ED, whether it be weight gain or breaking obsessive rituals, the more optimistic you will feel. When my bmi went up from emaciated to underweight I started to think more rationally and realize that there is hope. Good luck!

Having an Eating Disorder is an ineffective way of dealing with your life problems - it will only lead to more problems - some of which can be very serious and long-lasting (such as infertility).

It is best to face up to the fact that you have a problem and start to seek help from a doctor and therapist in order to learn how to deal with your feelings.
