I know this is about anerexia, but you will see at the end why it involves "moms with teens."
A girl who I've known my whole life has turned to anerxia...which I've noticed. I've told her not to do it, but she wont listen. Everybody in my group is concerned about her!
I know her parents quite well and respect them...would it be a bad thing if I went to them (I visit them alot just socially) Would it be bad for me to tell her parents incase they don't know her their daughter is anerxic. Case if they don't know they can't help her.
Im worried cause I might sound like Im questioning their parenting...but I really scared. The girl told me on msn that she's dieing rate now...and that she can't stop it. She told me she thinks she can't go much longer. And Im really scared! Really Scared! WHAT SHOULD I DO

If you do nothing and something happens to her you will have to live with the guilt of not doing anything when you could have so yes, take matters into your own hands and talk to her parents immediately! At least then if something should happen, you did something to try to help her. If you dont see her parents doing anything after you have told them, take the girl to the hospital and explain to them whats happening. this way maybe she will get the help she needs or at this point you have done all you can do for her.

Tell her parents it may be one of the only things that helps her realize the extent of what she is doing. Being a good friend means your there for your friend no matter what, you try to help them. Let someone know so she can get the help she needs
