I have 2 children. I have a male Golden Retriever 2 years old, female Pit 1 1\2, and a female 3 month old puggle puppy, they are all in love! they get along so well. It's how you train them, pets that have good consistent training for a couple months will be a great family pet for years. If I could have my farm, I would have 5 kids and 10 dogs!! Ha ha. :-) Oh, and a horse.

boxers like most of the dogs are terictorial, if you would have found an adult one, maybe it would have be not a so good idea to bring it home but a puppy i guess its ok and evrybody should get along well. just make it check by a vet for desease.

I hope everyone who is reading this has or will spay or neuter your pet. No matter a cat or dog.... don't help grow the unwanted pet population!!!

i really am discusted with people who would suggest you just give the pup to a shelter... so many dogs wind up there for no good reason... let me share something with you.. i have an American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, a "pit bull/american bulldog" and a "pit bull/lab" mix, and they all get along just fine. as long as your older dogs can accept a pup.. you should not have a problem.

they will get along if they learn to live with each other and its easy to teach them how to deal with each other i hav 3 Pits and 2 mini dogs and they get along fin

I just got a new puppy to and he has taken to my 6 month old son, They get along great. the puppy licks him and the baby tries to chew on him but so far neither of them mind. and with the dog on dog. My dog gets along with all of the neighbors dogs and my sisters, the only dog he dosen't seem real fond of is my hubby for some reason :-)

Rehome. Take the puppy either to a no-kill shelter or put an ad on petfinder and in the paper and carefully screen the homes.

i agree, if you are planning on keeping the pup take it to the vets to get screaned. If you dont want to do that go to the tractor store and buy some wormer and a 6 in 1 shot and then keep the puppy away from your dogs for a few weeks. For one you dont wnat it to give your dogs worms and two you might want to keep a eye on it to see if it shows any signs of illness. If its sick it should show signs in a few weeks after getting it. I'm not saying NOT take it to a vet, just saying a option.

I would screan the no kill shelters as well as anyone that is interested in the puppy, that is if you decide to get rid of it. Last year I looked into some no kill shelters and some will tell you that if there is not enopugh room, if they are full and need space and feel your animal cant be rehomed and there aint a foster home for it, the animal will be put to sleep. Im not saying they all do but there are some that will.

I had an American Bull Dog, diffrent breed and looks but the same family he didnt get along with most dogs. I had to re home him to a couple with no children or other pets. No children because he was simply to rough and strong, no other pets because his level of confidance was great! he would chase and fight with almost every other animal he came in contact with. It saddend me because he was great with all people!

Pitbull Lady- If you have all these animals then you SHOULD know that pits may not show dog aggression until about 2 years of age. It is better to rehome the puppy now before any problem arises than to have to part with a dog later once you have grown to love it and the dog is trying to kill your other dog.
