Hello all... I have the opportunity to adopt a 3 year old Golden Retriver. And I was wondering if what everyone's opinions are on them. I have a 3 year old son, and I want to get him a dog. And help would wonderful. Thanks! ↓

I personally don't adopt any pets over the age of 8mo. It is hard to take an older dog,and train it the way you want. Not to say you can't, but is harder to correct a behavior problem in a teenage dog. Good luck to you if you do get him. They are great dogs. ↑

Thank you for comments. I will be having serveral meetings with the dog before I make a decicion. I want to make sure that the dog is a good fit for my family. But this I do know, she seems to be quite laid back and engergetic. ↑
