i am stuck between or rock and a hard place. i love my cat but i think he has crystals and is blocked. the vet said that just to get him looked at is going to cost $110 and then if he is blocked and depending on how bad it could cost between $100 - $800. My husband just wants to get him put down since we don't even have the money to get him checked out right now let alone getting him checked out and then it costing $800 which is out of the question and then having to spend another $200 to get him put down. I just don't know what to do. Any answers? ↓

The crystals will reoccur in the future even if you have him treated now. This kind of problem comes back and I don't think they can stop it long-term. Contact your vet and ask if they can cure the cat permanently and if not then you may just have to have him put to sleep. If they can treat him permanently then you could have it done and take out some pet insurance for the future - this would probably work out cheaper. ↑
