The cat food will not hurt her the only thing it will do is put weight on her, thats if she eats a lot of it. Have you tried puting the cats food up in a high place where the dog cant reach it?The grass eating is normal most animals will graz. My two dogs always eat grass, when I had cats they also ate crass. I have a 13 year old Shnoodle, when she was younger all she would eat is soft cat food. It didnt hurt her, all it did was put added weight on her. I was luckey she was active and didnt get over weight!

She will be fine, it sounds like youre doing a wonderfull job with her. How much did she weigh when you got her and what is her weight now?

im not sure what she weighed but she was overweight.she was eating 4 cups a day now she is getting 2 1/2 cups and some times doesn't eat it all. i have not receved her papers yet they are coming from sothern pa i live in new york (southern tier).

you could even drop the amount you feed her to 1 1/2 cup twice a day. Do you have her on a elderly food or an adult formula? If she is on an adult food I would change it to a good brand elderly, or light diet food. Im guessing because of her age she is not verry active so keep up on the walks , she is old so just walk her at a moderate rate dont push her.

i do feed her senior formula it is pro plan when we got her she was on adult formula so we are still getting her switched we are on week 5 of 7 weeks. i find it is a lot easier to switch very slowly with larger dogs. my cocker is very differant he would rether just get the new food then some of old and some new he will eat all the new and leave the old. he is a silly dog but i love him lol. i will stop walking every so often for her to rest and have some water. we dont walk far maybe 2 blocks at the most. i try not to make it more so she dosent over do it.
