Just make sure you worm and fla your cat.
are you friendly with your niehgbors? can you get them to go to the vets? or at lest get them to treat their cat?

Worms are spread by contact with contaminated poo. As long as you're careful with handwashing andkeeping the kitchen benches clean (which I'm sure you do anyway *LOL*), then you will be fine. There's no need to be worrying about all surfaces, carpets, bedding etc.

Oh I thought I had to do bedding. oops guess I did a bit of unecessary cleaning today. Oh well needed to be done anyway.
Thanks A.S.

Yeah, that's okay. When I got the kitten he was full of fleas so I've had to sort out the problem as well. It's best to worm cats every three months. You can buy drops that go on the back of their neck instead of making them take a worming tablet :-) Makes life a lot easier :-)

Ok now another question are the fleas and worms connected some how. I notice you say to deworm and flea? also A.S. when you said you put the med on the back of the cats neck are you talking about frountline? we did get that at the vet and treated the dog too.

Yeah, Frontline is the one! The vet did tell me that there is one type of worm that can be transmitted by fleas - I can't remember which one it is though. I was quite surprised to hear that - he said that it was important to deworm and deflea regularly.

Nasty, naughty parasites *LOL*
