| What you need to do (as soon as you can) after the baby is born is go to your local child support office. They can help you in all the steps needed to obtain child support. It doesn't matter if you were married or not, the father of your child has a legal obligation to pay support. Now I do disagree with what the person said in the previous post...The father is only obligated to help support the child. Legally he doesn't support you. I hope this helps. ↑ |
