seeing as this is a single parent forum i thought id ask how loong you have been a single parent?
iv been a single parent since i was 6 month preg after my boyfrind of 5 years left me for someone else. im so over it now though.. im happy with the way things are and dont need him at all. ↓

| I live in australia, met a guy from america, went over there on a 3 month visa waiver. Lived with him we decided that we wanted to get married so i could stay in the country with him, but in the end he changed his mind and wanted more time which was fine. Then about 4 weeks before i was to leave back home to australia we found out i was pregnant. He didnt pressure me to do anything and at first said he would help me and support me. But in the end it was too much for him to deal with...now we only email each other briefly where i send him ultrasound pictures and updates on his sons progress. ( due new years eve ) So im pretty much a single parent from day one. This is also my first child. ↑ |

i dont even speak to my little girls dad hes not interested one bit, even when she had to go to hospital he never called or anything..

| Aww, I wonder if it would be one of those babies you read about every year in the papers, the first baby born of 2007! Good luck. My cousin was born 33 minutes before xmas day and my 3rd (sounds complicated) cousins who are twinswere born on new years eve, theyr 18 this year and are throwing one hell of a party! I guess with being a lone parent 13itchy, you don't have to worry about the name arguments! ↑ |

Hey there,
I have also been a single parent pretty much from day one. My ex is in the army is currently in East Timor and is not back till next year. Claims he has a new gf and is moving interstate with her when he gets back from Timor. He does not talk to me at all, he hates me and thinks i did this to trap him. He was fine at first then it all changed. We have been on and off for about 9 months. I never new where i stood with him and i now feel very used and taken for granted. Part of me hopes he will come back, maybe in some way just so i can tell him no we are better off with out him. I am due 18/05/2007. I hope im over this by then. Right now i spend most nights crying myself to sleep if i sleep at all. I hope you are are doing ok though. We have to be strong for our beautiful Children Born or Unborn.
