has her hearing been checked? ↑ |
yes her hearing is fine we havent found a physical reason for the lack of speech but we are now looking into neurological problems
the therapy they are using is called swing therapy and the child swings while the therapist shows them signs and tries to get them to talk leslie(the therapist) says that it open neuro pathways that are similar to those used in speech but about a day after we have been there she wont sign any more o attempt to talk (not that it could be understood by any one but me and big sister)all she will do is make a sound like tssssss when she wants to talk ↑ |
I am getting worried like you are. My son is 18 months old and the only two words he can say is dada and bye bye. He want say anything else. The peds doctor says not to get worried until he is 24 months old. I had an emergency c-section due to a prolapsed cord. I hope he wasn't deprived of any oxygen. ↑ |
My sister had a speech problem when she was young, I just hope it isn't genetic. I have heard that boys have more problems with talking than girls do. ↑ |
