I have a six year old adopted daughter with undiagnosed delays. The specialists have all disagreed as to the cause but nothing has been clearly identified. It has been suggested that she has either PDD, MR, or simply developmental delays. She has had an MRI which determined that her brain is physically normal. She has had genetic testing showing a "major duplication on the short arm of #7 chromosome." Genetisists have not yet linked that specific duplication to any known diagnosis. Has anyone else had such a result? I am hoping to find others with the same to compare notes on behaviors and treatments. We need help...We love her but are loosing our minds trying to figure out what to do to help her as well as to help us and our other three adopted children. She has been put on a variety of differant ADHD meds since she was three and most either don't work for long or at all and some make her behaviors, tiks, and other symptoms worse. Anything might help...
