wow you're one step ahead of me. I'm usually out busy shopping for christmas gifts and what not, but i have a 4 week old daughter and simply don't have the time heh heh or the cash to buy gifts for anyone this year. It kinda sucks, christmas is my absolute favorite time of year too. Ah well what can ya do, I got my baby girl to make memories with.

I need to get with it. I just have no idea what to give my oldest son and his girl friend. They live together. I was thinking something for the kitchen. she has nothing. no canisters, nothing. I dont think she's into it. but I think my son would like those things. Its so hard.

I have bought 2 gifts for my oldest girl. BRATZ stuff of course, and then I am making my mother-in--law a shawl with a really pretty purplish colored yarn. Then I am making a serving tray with pictures of the kids on it for my grandmother, my grandmother-in-law, my mother-in-law, my mom and one for my dad's girlfriend. I really need to work on the shawl thought, because I made one for my mom for her birthday and it took a month to make.

As for christmas cards, I always take the time to do them and then forget to send them out!!

I think I'll make a wreath for my moms door. she has been on me for a couple years to do it and I havent. I have the coolect santa ribbon to use and I want to find a old world santa to put in the middle. Or something on that line. It would be inexpensive to do and she will be thrilled.

Oh Christina, there are a ton of cute homemade things you could do for people. Especially because you have the new baby and all. People love things like that. My friend that just had a baby, I am making her baby her "First Christmas" ornament. She doesn't know it yet.
You could make people bath salts, or you can do cookies in a jar. Where you layer the dry ingrdients in a jar and then attach the recipe to it, so all they have to do is add the wet ingerdients and bake. If you want some more Ideas let me know!

good idea's thankyou. I saw in walmart where they had cookies in the jar and they were not cheap. they always have those santa jars or snowman ones that would work. Those would be good teacher gifts and my kids could do them. I think I'll do that.:)

momof3~ I would love some more ideas, that's a cute one for the cookies in a jar. The one thing in particular i'm having trouble with is I don't have the slightest idea what to get my fiance for christmas. I was originally thinking I might get him a really nice wallet, considering his is crap. But I dont work right now so i don't have much cash and well any ideas would be great.

Okay take some pictures of your daughter and her daddy, you know candid ones. Take puzzle pieces or cut out puzzle piece shapes on paper. Then glue all the pieces onto a cardboard picture frame, and then put the picture of the 2 of them or of just the baby and write out the words "Daddy I love you to pieces" He may like that being a new daddy. For everyone else do what I am doing. Go and get some cheap wooden serving trays, paint them then glue pictures of you little girl on it, put something on the back so that they can hang it on the wall and then when they need it they can use it.

Well make a few scarves, they don't take much time. See with the new baby, people would love things like that. Just sit and think about what kind of crafts your good at, and then do a search on the computer something like "Free tips on homemade gifts"
Last year, I got some for rice packs. My grandma loved that. You just take a new sock, fill it with rice, put some scented oil in it and you have a neck wrap like they use in spas. Or buy some pretty and cheap material and sewing a rectangle and stuff it with rice.

I am almost done! I got a lot of family and my husband done already. I started on everyone else though. I have to say, this is the first year I have completed this much, this time of year! I am normally one of those VERY last minute shoppers. Although when it comes to me, I can shop for a hundred people in one day! I love to shop baby!!! hahaha.
