I cook him dinner at around 12:00. It's usually something light though...spaghetti, sandwich, cheeseburger...something like that. Then he eats at work too. When he gets home at 10:30 he'll eat something light again. He leaves around 1:00 for work because we live about 1/2 hour away from the prison.

Oh ok, i didnt know how others did it. I usually cook him dinner around 10 or 11am and then he leaves around 1pm too, and he doesnt eat while hes at work but sometimes when he gets home he will eat something small, i think its funny because when he works a double he takes food to eat and i always wonder why because we dont usually eat at 2 in the morning but i guess if your up all night they can get hungry. So how have you been? Has your husband changed his shift yet?

Were doing well.
He won't change for a couple of weeks if he decides to take the job.

Really, thats wierd. Everyone at this one takes these huge luchbags with there foos and water jugs and whatnot and they eat whenever they get a chance. Sometimes he doesnt even get a chance to eat and that makes me mad but i guess thats the job.

They have machines they can buy food out of so he collects all the quarters around the house to go to work. They're aloud to take in food at Christmas but that's it.

My husbands had to stay late a few times and I worry....He usually tries to call and let me know, but a couple of times he couldn't.

They have a kitchen they can eat the same food as the prisoners...if that's what you mean....i just went out to the living room to ask him.

My husband almost always calls when hes going to stay and he usually stays 2 or 3 times a week there have been times when he just never came home but i know he just didnt have a chance to call, why do you get worried when he stays?

Did your husband say anything about us talking about there work on here? My husband doesnt like me to tell anyone what he does because of the guys that get out and they dont like our husbands if that makes any sense.

When he has to stay it's usually because a prisoner is acting up and they can't get him out of the cell...He's on a group of five that go in the cell and raid it. I think he usually has to carry the shield thing that shocks them. I just worry.....usually for no reason, but a few guards have been hurt. A couple prisoners killed each other too. They take their toothbrush and shave it with their razors to a point then use it like a knife.

He doesn't care if I chat, but when he first started working their he debated if he should wear a wedding ring. A lot of the guys won't....but they can get so much information from the outside it doesn't really matter.

Oh i would be worried too, i didnt know he was one of those guys that whent in that is scarry my husband has almost gone in but then the other guys come in to do it.

My husband doesnt wear his wedding band to work, and he wears a cover shirt over his jumpsuit so no one can see it.

He hasn't had to do it recently...For the last couple of months he's worked in the "mods" that's what they call them....where the prisoners live that are getting out. I actually don't like that though because i feel like they get to know him better and who he is then they get turned loose and who knows what they'll do....if that makes sense.

It makes total sense, my husband works in the hole and the stories he tells me i would never want to work there, he usually doesnt talk to me about it anymore because i dont really like to hear about it.

There 4 and 2 and there fine just getting over a cold and there running around here crazy. How are yours?

My husband worked in the hole for over a year. That's where most of the raids are. He didn't mind it because for the most part they are on lockdown. We don't talk much about his work either. unless something really bad happens and he needs to talk.

All tucked into bed. They have colds too. Gabe has a nasty cough he can't get rid of.

Ya hes only came home a couple of times where hes really mad about something at work and only then will he vent.

I wish mine were in bed, a couple more hours to go. I like the couple of hours i get to myself after they go to bed and before he gets home, i try to relax and watch a show without being interupted or mostly i call my mom and chat with her and then i clean up.

He just went back to work today after being off for 4 days because he was sick and im glad he whent back so i can get back into a routine.

He found a guy who took all his heart medicine once and killed himself....so he had to do all the paperwork because he found him. i could tell it bothered him. He probably would have been better if someone else would have found him......of course he had to act all tough like it didn't bother him.

I know what you mean.....when he's home for a long period I feel like I'll never catch back up....He usually teases he has to go back to work for a break because I get him to do all kinds of things around the house he neglected.
