I see. well I don't know then how long have you had him?

We have had him for 3 yrs and he had never taken off like that.He would go out in the woods and hunt for a day but he has never stayed gone for 3 whole days. Then i was so shocked to see he was gone again this morning.

I had a dog a few years ago that would do that. He stayed gone for about a month one time. But it turned out he was spending a lot of time with a dog down the street. at one point both of them disappeared together. I would not worry too much. he obviously know where home is since he came back once. I'm sure he'll come back again.

Ya im sure he will to.We have tried to tie him up,but somehow he slips his collar over his neck.

they really don't seem to like that much. Have you tried a running chain? That usually works pretty well because they are still able to run about and play

No we just tried putting him on a chain with a collar,he is smart though. He slipped out of it,even with it pretty tight around his neck.I would like to build him a pen to go in,one that is big so he can still run.

that sounds like a good idea. I would still look into a running chain in the meantime though. they are prett cheap and all you need is two trees to hook it up

We dont have many trees in our yard my df cut most of them down for wood a couple winters ago.
