I don't know why it bothers me so bad but it does!!!!!! A couple who are more my husbands friends than anything, just stopped by. I'm thinking,"Oh that's just great!!!" They will probably be here til the cows come home! I just can't stand unannounced company!!!! I just prefer to be prepared!!!! Like I am back here on the computer and I'm not wearing a bra today so now I'm stuck back here because i can't go to my room to put something appropriate on because I'd have to be seen along the way! I think they are here sponging off my husbands beer,NICE!!!! That means they have no plans and will be here til GOD knows when!!!! I'm very pissed off!!!! Anyone else have a problem with "pop-in" company??? My dad always hated it too and still does,i wonder if that's where I get it from?!

Yeah get this.......these "moochers" lost their house here awhile back. Seems they had money for beer and cigarettes but not their mortgage payments!!! And when they left their home after being evicted they left 50 cats and 1 dog in the house!!!!!!!! It was in the paper about it! Oh and their kid had to go stay with friends because the parents didn't know where they would be calling home! They used to have a nice blazer but today they have pulled up in an old junky car! Now they are in my livingroom drinking my husbands beer! Cute!

I know what you mean I like to have a warning too. i'll see someone pull up our driveway and i'm running around the house trying to pick up toys or I have to run upstairs to get dressed. It sounds like your lucky though to be in that room than in the room with them.

I think they are just bored and wanting to kill time but that's what worries me because they won't care how many hours they stay!

me to dislike it...if its just for a moment.....well I accept....but the come around hang around all dang day just gets me. I think i must get it form my mom. She hated that too. She was very particular about her home.....and though I could still take pages of her book ......good gosh yes.......kinda made us like that too. So like her I think its actually rude. People should be able to accept or decline company via a telephone call........first. They could pop in on you........busy....know what I mean? lol. And at our home due to the renovations and the fact we are piled it seems on top of each other........I need all the time I can get....so it is at least tidy when they come........then I enjoy the visit much more myself.

I don't do pop in company. After I first moved here I made a couple of friends that would just pop over and it irritated me to no end. I had another friend that lived down the road, and one day on summer break she comes up with her two kids and knock on the door. All of us are still in our PJs. I open the door and she said Rise and Shine. Get ready and let's go to the playground. I was sooo mad. My kids got upset because I said no. I already had plans for the day, and she didn't talk to me for a week.

Lizzi, if I were you, I'd go in pick up the keys and not say a word. I'd go out the door and go for a drive until they were gone.

I just told her that I already had plans for the day and that I would appreciate it if in the furture she would call before coming by. I wouldn't even open the door all the way because her two children were trying to push the door open to come in. We had only met about a month before this happened.
