Kick him off. lol. We are never on the same time. I miss you very much. Just us girls roaming around in here. How is your son. Is he working? I do not remember the name of the job you were talking about him getting. Mine are both working, and starting school.

Well he was going to detassel but then changed his mind and instead went on vacation with his grandma. He just turned 16 though so now he's wanting a CAR but I've told him he will have to work somewhere and save up in order for that dream to come true. And with school starting here shortly I want to see how he does with his grades before I allow him to take on a job so we'll see!

I agree with you, school fist. I had all the same fears when mine went to work. My son first worked summer and weekends only. He made enough in one summer to pay for his half of a truck.

Yeah rain,my dad is a "car junker" but not all cars he gets in are junk so I'm hoping maybe he can get Curtis his first car pretty cheap. : ) In fact my car is from my dads "junk calls" and it's a 92 chrysler LeBaron and it's in good condition and I've been driving it for a year now and hope to a few more! "Lucky me"! LOL

My hubby has a very nice newer vehicle. In his business I see why it is necessary for him to drive one, plus he likes it. I prefer no payments. I always pay cash for mine. My last two were around 1,200. All nice cars purchased from individuals. My kids cars were the same way. I never wanted a new one. I couldn’t live with that first scratch or coke spilled in it. My cars were awesome, and paid for. They were just not the new models. You are so lucky, I bet you get the best deals like that. I am the same way.

rain I WISH I got the best deals like that, but NOOOO! Actually my own father charges us MORE for his cars than he does a friend or stranger!!! Sad but TRUE! But still going through him IS cheaper than a car lot so we pay what he wants. He does however let us make payments to him if we don't have the money up front so I guess if we get a "break" then that would be it.

For instance he sold us our car for $750 but then turned around and sold a "really nice" van to a buddy for just $500. That's how my dad operates. You would think he would give his "kids" the BETTER deal, but he doesn't.
