Oliver is offically 2 months tommorow..and he is off for his 2mth injections..

i'm so scared and worried for him. I bought baby panadol from the chemist, and they said to give him a dosage 30 mins before the needle..then depending on how he reacts another 3 hours later..

He does NOT cope well AT ALL the heel prick test he flipped out something shocking..i had tears in my eyes..i just know injecting something hurts 10x more then taking blood out..

i'm already so sick with worry for him, he is so tiny and innocent..mu little bubbie.......i dont think i can hold him down if they ask me to =( arghhh

Marija you come up and helped him come into this world..wana come help him with his first needles? lol..

You know my kids get this patch. It has numbing cream on it. the nurse puts it on him about ten minutes before hand so when it's time for the needle he doesn't even feel it.

~What kind of person goes to a foreign country and gets so drunk that they can't remember what happened for 12 hours~ In the company of people they've never met before? No wonder Sez got pregnant~ What immature and dangerous behaviour~

Sarah I know how you feel.. Mason doesn't cope very well with needles either.. I always end up crying with him.. he doesn't need another one till his 4! thank-god but I will be going threw it with this bubba soon... :-( Mason always ends up sick with them... Fever, rashes,vomitting... All of it.. so I really hate them!... When they get a bit older you can sit them on your lap and cuddle them while they are getting there needle... That made me feel a but better...

i know how your feeling....it's called being a mom....it's never easy to see your child in pain...when my son was oli's age, i took him for his shots i cried right along with him...i really did. i went home and told my hubby that he would have to take him...lol. now when i take him he doesn't cry at all b/c of the needles, he really doesn't. but for his 2 yr check-up, they had to draw blood, and he didn't like that too much...so he cried, and i wanted to too.

sarah, when kaitlen had her 8 week needles, the nurse made her look at her only, not at me and she didn't make me hold her so kaitlen didn't associate the pain and distress with me. As soon as it was over and she was crying, the nurse picked her up, gave her a cudle and then passed her to me to comfort her, so she associated mummy with comfort and someone to dry her tears. I thought that was sweet, but i cried my eyes out when she got the needles, it is so upsetting. She is due for her 4 month needles in the next couple of weeks :(

ahhhhhh its a needle....prick!!!....all gone
bit of panadol before.......ask for the arm....it seems like they dont hurt as much as the legs....they kick them about more i find...especially when you change their nappies. :-))

yup jaxjos
i just lean over them when theyre on the table...doc has the leg and i cradle the shoulders and head....keep them focused right on me...face close to theirs and stroking the head...talking all the time...then when it hits...their tiny little faces may screw up and get ready to cry...you swoop down with a kiss and lots of soothing ...its alright bubba ...all gone...more kisses..

P.S....i always took my kids a month out of time....theyre too little when they are only 2 months mine went 3 6 9.

NEVER TAKE YOUR BABY IF HE IS UNWELL...EVEN WITH A COLD!...to me it may mean nothing...but i wouldnt take a single risk

Get someone else to hold him. I wish I would've when I took Kaden last week. He looked at me like I did it. I would've much rather been the hero by coming in after lol.

Megan has to go tomorrow for her 18 months shot. I think it is the Chicken pox vacc. My girls do pretty good. Alexis doesn't cry at all, she just watches them do it. Megan cryes but stops as soon as they stop touching her. Just lean over him and talk soothing. It sucks I know, but if you are all worked up he will feed off of that,
