Hi :) I had a quick question, My son will be 4 years old this coming feb and he was i thought completly potty trained up to a couple of months ago. H would be doing great i had even started putting underwear on him at night and then for a little bit he seemed to have regressed and then he was fine again and then about 3 weeks ago right before he was going to start pre school he started to pee in his underwear again about 3 to 5 times a day. And at night again. Im so tired of washing pee underwear that i have started to put him in pull ups again but i didnt want to do that because it seemed like i was taking a few steps back by doing that. We have tried stickers and other rewards he has gotten in trouble and we have tried talking to him about it. If you have any tips or ideas you can pass down to me that will help i would appreciate it, thanks.

Thanks bmes, its so frustrating because my daughter whom is now 5 was so easy to potty train and i did the exact same thing with him as i did with her. Im thinking about mabey just taking him to the bathroom every 15 minutes or so and having him try and go potty. And another thing i was thinking was mabey he has a UTI, because a few days ago we were out running errands and he was having to go potty like every 10 minutes or so, but it doesnt seem like he has to go alot at home so im not sure if i need to take him to the doctor or not. Well thanks for the advice and i know he will be potty trained some day :)

Boys in my experience are harder to potty train then girls..........

O.,k so he is potty trained but has regressed? This is common when they are nervous or worried about something.......and makes sence with pre school starting.....

I would not put him back into pullups......nope! Do not get upset, clean up the mess and move on, or it may make things worse......
also it is normal for kids to go to the washroom more when they are out......I do not know why, but it seems they are fasinated with them....

if you are concerned , o go to your family doctor and have things checked out.......it could be something, and if not it will ease your mind.

ohh and very active kids seem to be harder to train, because they do not want to stop what they are doing to go to te washroom.

ohh and I also believe pull ups make training harder not easier.

Have you tried bubbles in the potty or food coloring so that it changes when he pees in it?
