oh girls its going to be so beautiful and bright in there. First coat of paint on the other two walls now. Bigest part of the kitchen to do those three. But I can see the end result very well at this point. WHAT a change! Brighter, cleaner looking (anything helps) crisp and fresh. I see the entire kitchen done now. For so long I was puzzled right up over what to do with it. Once the floor in one part went in...I could begin to see. I did see a countertop I just love. Not the granite I was going to get I actually like this better. It will go with everything perfectly. So now with the walls done. I do see the project complete and am just loving it.

wow Maxie, you are working fast today!

not saying you are slow...lol...but loading the roller is making it so much quicker

Yup winn. I didnt bother to do all the cutting in this time. I just end up having to go back and touch up the other color (ceiling) anyway. So skip that and just motor along. I do use the brush stil mind you to feather out the bits i need to but........much faster using more paint and skiping the cutting in. Off again.

when we moved into this place the previous owner painted the entire downstairs a dark burgundy color. It was a nice color but just wring to do the entire house like that. A nice accent color maybe. anyways, it just felt like a total dungeon in here, so we painted it this light yellow color, and OMG we had to do so many coats it was unbelievable!! LOL....we even had the primer tinted and then about 4 or five coats i think it was!!! there's still some spots where you can still kinda see the burgundy!!! ugh...rediculous. they should have just painted their walls black

ooooooooh yeah that really makes it tough bmes. I do have one little room in burgandy. Actually its the front entrance to the home. Thats where Maxie sits and chats with her girls. Its my little office. ehhehe. You see when we got here because this once was a growop house the biker boys had beaten the door in. YUP. So to secure it and because we still have two exits hubby just screwed the old door right tight shut.

He is at the moment tyding up the space where we keep our water tanks on the side of the house. Mucky there so he will bring in six yards of cracked clear rock to put in there. This way it will always be a nice and clean area. since its snowing the project is off for a few days. When he is completed that, this space I am in will be renovated. New tile floor. Just wood under a little carpet at the moment. New door and caseing. Then the new desk will come in. I bought one of those office/desks that have doors on them, do you know? That way its all tidy looking all the time. Except when open and Maxie is chatting in BC lol. So ...most of the time. lol. I will leave it this color It goes well with the house...the rest of the color. Which by the way Winn had an excellent explaination of the color this morning when we spoke. Like coffee with way way to much cream in it. So the two do complement each other.

By the way that desk I bought?! What a steel! I bought it at the local thrift store ..oh, eight months ago. I am thinking oh well, at wallmat the cheepie ones go for...about 300.00. This one is made much better. I was happy with just that. Just a few days ago.....my daughter and I were out searching for a cabinet for the bathroom. I walked in to Sears Furniture Outlet store near Sumas. OOOOOH my gosh I nearly dropped on the floor. My daughter saw it first. I look. Sure enough! Identical to the latches on the doors. I look to see the price............get this. 1049.99 I near fainted. Blink blink blink???!!!!!! Yup sixty buck I paid and there it was! What kind of condition is mine in.......couple small realy unnoticable scratches........thats it. Imagine. It gets better. Now still wondering around. Again there it is something else we have. Dining room suite. Yup get this. I paid for six chairs and a table with leaf and china cabined.....1200.00 including tax. The china cabinet in there to the letter identical........1200.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forget what the table and FOUR chairs was......something like about 1700.00 right in that ball park. And I must add this. The table is a smaller version of mine without the leaf. I bought my set at Liquidation world. Pays to shop around. I would never have guess the price of either of those things. you could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw what I did. Not one iotia of diffrence.
