The last 3 days he has been puking up something shocking..wont stop.

He has hardly EVER puked..maybe a little drib and drab here and there..but it seems after i give him his bottle he will be spewing it up for the next 3-4 hours.

And it only happens during the day..and its only happened the last few days...any idea what the matter could me?

Ive just been told " you didnt burp him properly " but i have..i stop him 3x during his bottle burp him etc..and when he is done he gets burped...i just think it might be something else

well now sarah zac didn't cry either! maybe take him to the doc just in case ya know. it could be nothing but you should have him checked to make sure. do you maybe bounce him a bit too much while you burp him? i dunno. with zac he was allergic to the formula AND had reflux.

Well he has his 4mth needles coming up next weekish..so i will ask then. It just seem werid all of a sudden for the puke to be so much.

I just sit him upright and he burps himself and i rub his back in circles if there is a stubborn one.

i dunno hon. ya just can't ever tell with little ones. how old is he now? he could have grown into reflux though. they can grow into it or out of it. took zac a while but he is acid free now.

He could just be going through a spell, you never know. Is it really humid there now? My kids threw up more in the heat. I would watch him and as long as he's keeping most of it down I would say he's probbaly ok.

Could he be overeating a little?? Just little wet burps are no big deal, and maybe his eyes are bigger than his little tummy!! No big deal!

Sarah,
Anika did the same thing around that age. I was mainly breastfeeding her at the beginning, but there was a few times where we went to a wedding and I left her with my gradma and she gave her formula and she took it no problem at all. We gave her formula (same kind) a couple times after that and no problem. Then, around 4 months, I had to give her more formula(same stuff as before), and all of a sudden she would just puke it up. like LOTS of puke. and it didn't seem to bother her. she'd just puke all over the place and then fall asleep!!! she'd be like a little rag doll. lol......anyways, after that happened we tried again and NOW she would take the formula AT ALL....so we tried a different kind and NOPE!!! didn't even want it! so we bought every brand in the store and tried each one. We're giving her Isomil now (a soy formula) and she NEVER pukes it up. not even any spit up. and we've been giving that to her since she was 4-5months. so maybe it's just a matter of changing the brand of formula???? try it out. also, have you tried giving him a little at a time? like 1 or 2 oz then wait 30 minutes, see if it stays down, then another 1 or 2 oz and so on. that all I can think of. That's what they told us to do with Anika when that happened! :-) good luck to you!

???? my daughter has just gotten over the Rotavirus, and while she was sick, I came on here a couple times to ask questions about it, and talk about it. Does that make me pathetic? Isn't this site meant for questions and such regarding our children?

Addy did the same thing, she still spits up. But I switched her to enfamil A.R. Lipil for babies who spit up frequnenty and it's gone down a LOT.
