hi, I have tried the orajel for my seven month old and she spits it out. The tablets they sell don't seem to work. Dose any one know of anything I could give her? I don't know what I can do to help her.

I swear by midiest you can put it in their milk before bed and it numbs the pain and helps them to sleep, but you can only give it for 3 days at a time and then you have to stop for a while.
Thats why i only give it before bed!
I used to find that i could distract my son during the day!

My mother also told me to use a little wiskey but I could never find it in me to use it. So whether it works or not I have no clue. My son also spit up the orajel so I just gave him Ibprophen and made sure there was always something cold he could chew on. I use to take a washcloth, wrap it around an ice cube and while holding it of course like him chew on it. This help alot, not only was it cold but also it was something hard to help the teeth break through a little.

Ale,
My little one would scream with the orajel, it tastes nasty & only lasts for about 15 minutes. I have been using "Hylands Teething Tablets", you can buy them at Wal-mart (blue, white, & pink packaging). They dissolve in their mouth. The tables really seen to work, the baby now has 7 teeth, & I still have all my hair...LOL

Good luck

Some friends of mine gave their baby frozen green peas to chew. They are not hard when frozen. Just firm. The little round green peas. Your baby should be at the right age for this, but I wouldnt recomend it to babies who are not eating solit foods. I also gave my babies ice in a wash cloth.
